Job Description: 
Maxim is currently seeking a Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist - Registered Nurse / RN to be responsible for assessing the field worker's daily clinical patient notes to ensure that the documentation is complete, accurate and in accordance with the plan of care. The QI Specialist is also responsible for facilitating the office approach to quality improvement at a branch level and in conjunction with regional and corporate quality initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Enforces and demonstrates compliance with Federal, State, Local and accreditation bodies' regulations and standards as well as Maxim policies at all times.
  • Organizes the incoming daily notes
  • Assesses daily notes for completeness and accuracy including but not limited to: Frequencies of services, plans of care matching MAR's, medication profile accuracy, associated communication orders, and supplemental orders.
  • Determines patterns and trends of documentation and educates home staff related to proper documentation under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services.
  • Coordinates clinical notes and progress notes.
  • Communicates all occurrences and other important information to the Director of Clinical Services.
  • Attends case conferences, team meetings and in-services as required
  • Participates in new field staff orientations
  • Contact and arrange for field staff to make documentation corrections
  • Provides education and in-service training to clinical personnel
  • Assists Corporate Director of Quality Improvement in facilitating QI projects
  • Tracks and trends Incident Reports
  • Manages Grievance Logs to resolution
  • May perform other duties as required, assigned or deemed necessary by Maxim and/or department leader
  • Adheres to all Maxim policies and procedures

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • RN Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Currently licensed as a RN in the state
  • Complies with accepted professional standards and practice
  • Recommend past experience with quality assurance processes
  • Recommend Homecare experience
