Functions under physicians' orders. Adheres to applicable principles and practices of speech language pathology, Innovative Senior Care policies and procedures and state regulations. Supervises Rehabilitation Aides Optimize communication, cognitive and swallowing skills of patients by performing or supervising therapy staff in the following activities: initiating referrals; evaluating and treating appropriate patients; complying with Minimum Data Set procedures; effectively participating in the care planning process; appropriately documenting progress toward identified objectives and communicating patient status and needs to the patient, the patient's family, the staff and other professionals as appropriate. Conducts screenings of patients at regular intervals to determine need for intervention/treatment. Recommended Minimum Position Qualifications: 1. Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program. 2. Certificate of Clinical Competency and ASHA Certification
