As a Middleware Engineer with Gentiva, you will: * Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of all Middleware Applications that support the system. * Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the middleware tier are sound, and to ensure high availability and optimum performance. * To proactively monitor the Middleware Applications to ensure secure services with minimum downtime. * Responsible for providing trend analysis to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management. * Responsible for problem escalation to Proper Middleware Support Groups and third parties as appropriate. * Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the Middleware tier to include rollout and upgrades. * Responsible for implementation and release of Application Code changes as submitted by the development team Qualifications * High school diploma * Technical training or the equivalent * A minimum of three years in system programming experience generally required * Proficient in the use of Linux Operating System (Command Line). * Knowledge of Windows Operating System. * Knowledge of Shell / Perl Scripting. * Proficient in the implementation of JBoss application server, including clustering and HA services. * Proficient in the implementation of WebLogic application server. * Knowledge of how Java based applications work. * Knowledge of Middleware Applications such as the following: * SharePoint * People Soft Applications * CA - Autosys * Service Center * SQL Server Reporting Services * Oracle Enterprise Manager * Java Messaging Services (JBoss Messaging, Mule MQ) * Must be able to work in a distributed group environment. * Must have good communication skills. expect more from Gentiva At Gentiva, you'll find everything you need to make the most of your career, including skilled, collaborative associates; a team-oriented approach and the resources of a national company.
