RNs and LPNs for Haiti relief. Volunteer 4-week commitment. Are you a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse interested in assisting with relief efforts in Haiti? BAYADA Home Health Care is recruiting nurse volunteers willing to donate their time to caring for the people of Haiti. BAYADA will cover the cost of all travel, living expenses, and inoculations. Many of the supplies you will need in Haiti will also be provided. Since this is a volunteer effort, you will not be paid for your time. BAYADA is coordinating volunteer assignments with Heart to Heart International, a humanitarian, non-profit organization that has been sending medical personnel to assist with relief efforts around the world since 1993. Volunteer nurses are asked to commit to a minimum stay of four weeks in Haiti. Due to the nature and magnitude of devastation in Haiti, all nurses should be willing and prepared to deal with extreme conditions. JOB REQUIREMENTS Interested applicants must be RNs or LPNs with a current US nursing license. Emergency or critical care experience, as well as post-operative care experience is highly desirable for work in emergency rooms or clinics. Rehabilitation or community health experience is desired for work with mobile units traveling throughout the country. We recommend missionary or other international travel experience. Interested RNs and LPNs should provide: • a resume, including detailed information about your clinical skills and experience • references • a copy of your valid, US nursing license • a copy of your current passport Fax to Cheryl Kendra, BAYADA employee relations specialist at 401-273-5705. Qualified candidates will be referred to a local BAYADA service office for a personal interview and a skills assessment performed by a clinical manager. If deemed appropriate, all application materials will be forwarded to Heart to Heart International for final review. Heart to Heart will then contact accepted candidates directly.
