This position will cover territory including OH and KY. Responsible to Vice President of Operations Directly Supervises and Evaluates Directors of Operations and other staff as assigned Description Directs the overall operations of more than one provider number. Responsible for agency programs according to approved policies, procedures and standards. Maintains the image of the agencies in the communities the agencies serve, and in state and national organizations. Keeps the agencies abreast of local, state and national trends. JOB DUTIES/KNOWLEDGE (25%) _____ 1. Serves as a liaison among the governing body, the professional advisory group, the professional and business staff. _____ 2. Responsible for overall operation of all programs. _____ 3. Organizes and directs all of the agencies’ ongoing functions and participates on the budget committee. _____ 4. Employs qualified personnel and provides for adequate staff education. Interviews, hires, supervises, and evaluates and terminates agency leadership staff. _____ 5. Implements budget and accounting systems and fiscal controls. _____ 6. Oversees record and reporting systems providing for proper service control and measurement of program outcome. _____ 7. Ensures evaluation of all agency programs and staff. _____ 8. Takes an active part in local, state and national health committees and functions. _____ 9. Participates in development, interpretation, and implementation of all policies and procedures. _____ 10. Promotes good community relations through involvement in community affairs. _____ 11. Promotes client relations by receiving complaints and compliments. Makes home visits as indicated. _____ 12. Investigates and resolves complaints. _____ 13. Plans with other agencies and develops methods of interagency work. _____ 14. Advises administrative staff on personnel matters. _____ 15. Communicates with the fiscal intermediary and other third-party payors as necessary to maintain good relations. _____ 16. Monitors the fiscal condition of the agencies and ensures adequate resources. _____ 17. Makes decisions on capital equipment and major office purchases, in accordance with corporate policies and procedures. _____ 18. Monitors billing and payroll functions. _____ 19. Is immediately available to be on-site or be on-site during business hours or immediately available by telecommunication when off site conducting the business of the agency and available after hours as needed. Requirements 1. A licensed physician; or 2. A Registered Nurse; or 3. Has training and experience in health service administration and at least one (1) year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or related health programs. 4. Demonstrates a working knowledge of regulations and reimbursement in home health care. 5. Demonstrates expertise in personnel management, leadership, and financial management. 6. Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs, using files, and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs. *CB* MST |
