Providence is calling a full-time Director of Hospice and Palliative Care for a day shift position at Providence Home Services Building in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will: - Plan, organize and direct the strategic and operational activities of the Providence Home Services Hospice and Palliative Care programs. (Including Providence Connections and Community Care) As a resource for the Portland Service area in end of life care, works with other Providence Health System leaders to develop and maintain a system wide approach to end of life care within the context of the Service Areas priorities and industry trends. - Provide leadership for Providence Home Services space planning in the Portland Service area.
Qualifications: Required qualifications for this position include: - Master’s degree in business, nursing or related health fields. - Current Oregon nurse’s license required. - A valid driver’s license, automobile liability insurance and reliable transportation. - Five years or more experience demonstrating experience in progressive leadership roles as director or administrator of certified Medicare Hospice or Home Health program. - In compliance with the Providence Health & Services-OR, criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties.
Preferred qualifications for this position include: - BSN from accredited school of nursing strongly preferred. - Minimum three years experience as Home Health or Hospice nurse preferred.
