Overview: The Home Medical Equipment delivery Technician is primary responsibility is for the delivery; pick up, set-up, service, education and assessment of medical equipment to patients in their residences. Provides instruction and education material to the patient/family on the operation, cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment. Transports, handles and route medical equipment according to VITAS HME policies to assure compliance with infection control, equipment maintenance and safety. This is a full-time position with on-call duties required. Qualifications: Qualified candidates must be 18 years or older, with current automobile insurance and applicable state’s driver’s license with a clean record. Experience with the operation and repair of medical equipment preferred. Knowledge of the VITAS service areas preferred, and the ability to read a map and follow directions. Must be able to lift 100 lbs. Ability to work unsupervised in field, exercising discretion and independent judgment. Education: High school diploma or equivalent |
